i just recently purchase this phal from a nursery, its in a down condition so tot of trying to rescue it. the leaves are yellow green but there is a spike with two bloom coming. i removed all the hollow roots and leave the healthy green one behind.
my question is should i sacrifice the bloom so that the plant will conserve energy to regenerate or should i leave it there?
How many roots were left ? that will decide if the spike should be removed or not If it has just one root I would remove the spike . The Yellow green is not a problem was receiving high light at the nursery . I have one it gets medium light but not direct sun . Hope this helps a little ..
Looks like 5 very long, healthy and happy roots to me. As Gin already mentioned, the pale leaves may be from being grown in higher light. It might also be a nutrient deficiency if it hasn' been getting much fertilizer.
All in all, that looks like a healthy plant. Enjoy the blooms! And I'd love to see pics once it does bloom!

sorry to say this but the actual owner of the phal tetraspis took back the plant before bloom ...so can't post the picture ( was actually helping my friend to nurse the sick plant initially, since there are new roots growing the owner wants to 'discharge' the plant...
sorry, posting on behalf of my friend that bought it from the nursery, but anyway thanks for all the help. will ask for the pic and post it when if i got it.
