I was on a 2 year mission to get one of these until one of my OB friends sent me a p-bulb...which is now growing it's 2nd new growth!

It's such a lovely chid, I get excited when I see somebody else interested in one

thank god i bought it (and haven't kill it!)... i just have a feel its going to be a nice plant with nice flowers and then i bring out my purse!

I was thinking of Habenaria radiata, we call it Dove Orchid in french. Visibly Dove orchid in English is something completely different! And I really don't see how Peristeria elata looks like a dove?

Here Habenaria radiata is called Egret orchid

Camille, it is not the whole flower, but only the inner structures of the flower that looks like a dove.... Check the link below and you will see the dove init
