If you feel the flowers fell off prematurely, it could have been due to stress the plant endured.
I agree with humidity .. if you have exposed roots .. mist them depending on their dryness ... you can mist them in the mornings .. you may not need to do it everyday .. .. again that depends on your conditions. I like to mist mine every morning especially because the air has been very dry lately.
They like bright light but not direct light .. I have mine in front of a west window in back of my cattleyas which get the direct rays. They do well if the window has direct light but is shaded by a white curtain.
Check your medium also .. you may want to consider repotting once the plant has acclimated to it's new surroundings. Some people repot as soon as they get a plant.
My personal experience with some of the Phals I bought were that their roots were grown in sphag moss which may have been good for the hothouse but I found that they caused root rot to my plant .. I cleaned off the rotted roots and repotted them in KK mix and so far .. knock wood .. so good ..
Do you use fertilizers?

Orchids are trial and error because the conditions of your environment are specific .. but the more you ask, the more you may find you have in common with some here.
Good growth and health to your Phal!
