Amount of rooting hormone needed
Recently I've been reading some threads about superthive, as far as the proper dilution is concern, I am totally confused. The label says to use 1/4 tsp per gallon, while other on the treads at least a drop or two per gallon.
Can I use superthrive weekly? what dilution is safe? This is my first time to use the product and I want to use 1/4 teaspoon to my sick plant but I don't know what dilution rate is safe for the next week
I hope somebody can give me information for the safeness of the product. Thank you.

I have used it weekly at the rate of a 1/4 teaspoon per gallon continuously for over 2 years and have not seen any problems. I also mx with feritilizer as well.

Hello Ted, I forgot to ask about those in s/h culture. I made a gallon fertilizer and add 1/4 teaspoon of superthrive. Can I also use it in s/h? Is it safe since the water with superthrive will stay in the reservoir for days?

Yes. I do this quite often. How strong do you mix your fertilizer by the way?

it is very weak and the ratio is 6-4-4. Do you think reducing the amount of superthrive is much safer or the 1/4 teaspoon is safe enough to stay in the reservoir?

1/4 teaspoon per gallon should be fine. That is the same as what I give mine. All of my plants are in S/H. I am curious how much fertilizer you mix per gallon though.

It says in the bottle 1 tbsp per gallon once a week. It is liquid organic fertilizer made of fish emulsion, guano and seaweed..
Thank you Ted for your information

That might be too much fertilizer. If you set a target of 125ppm N per feeding (which is a generally recommended amount), with the amount of N in your fertilizer you would need to use a little bit over 1/2 a tbsp. At your current dosage of 1 tbsp, you're feeding your plants roughly 240ppm N. That seems like a lot.

Hi Camille,
I don't have any idea about that ppm thing, thank you for that informative suggestion.
