One thing I forgot, how often are you feeding your plants though? If you do it only every couple of weeks then it's not really bad. If you fertilize almost every watering, then you run the risk of burning the roots.
In general it seems recommended to fertilize 'weakly weekly',(rather than the binge and starve method) and 125ppm (parts per million) of nitrogen is usually the target.
