Default What is this? Keiki?

This is growing out under my phal. Looks like a new plant. Any ideas? Any advice as to what to do or leave it alone? Thanks much

looks like a basal keiki. i would leave it there, because it will eventually spike and then your plant will have an even bigger show. i dont know why you would remove it or how, i have never had a basal keiki

Sometimes Basal keikis for if there has been damage to the crown of the main plant. It kind of looks from your pics as though the newest leaf in the crown had some problems but is now recovering and that could have caused the basal keiki to start.

As others have said, if you get both flowering together it can give a great display.
