I agree with RosieC, that the change from a pot to a mount is something it liked. You can even check for a new root growth, as a sure sign, the orchid is doing well!

there are at least two visible new roots that are growing really fast too

That’s great news your orchid is doing really well! It was a good decision to put this orchid on a mount.
