I didn't know that. To me it looks like a Botrytis infection, but its something I've on seen in orchid books and not on my orchids. I know that on floral tissue it doesn't always make the characteristic grey fuzz.

there is no fuzz, its just black, it might possibly have touched a hot window when i was away but idk

I have been buying all my bark mix from repotme for quite a while and I have been very happy with it. My chids certainly seem to like the mixes. So, I guess that's a yes from me.
