Phalaenopsis flowers drooping as well as Paph leaves, and Psychopsis flower drop. Male
Default Phalaenopsis flowers drooping as well as Paph leaves, and Psychopsis flower drop.

I came home from the local orchid society with another phalaeonpsis this Sunday *I have insane luck at our raffles* and put it on the desk top with my other two phals.

It was in full bloom on Sunday, each flower had good substance, and seemingly bug free. It's root system appears to be healthy, has a large amount of aerial roots*for me anyway*

A few days after taking it home, one of the flowers dropped off. Now, each day the remaining flowers droop a little more. What am I doing wrong?

They're in a West-facing window, but there is a shelf above them and a folded up blind about half way up the window which serves to block some of the light. There is no water tray below them as I was informed that phals did not require such a thing.

Additionally, I have a pah that I purchased whose leaves are... getting floppy I suppose would be the right word. It's on the headboard of my bed, across and to the side of my South-facing bedroom window. It has a water tray below it. The Masdevallia Measuriana beside it has been growing fine for a while.

Lastly, I have a Psychopsis Papilio that I bought a month ago, it dropped it's flower two weeks ago. It has a water tray and is near the corner by my South-facing bedroom window, there is no point in the day when the sun directly hits it. Should I be concerned or do the flowers not last long? I know to not cut the spike.

You say it was already in full bloom so maybe it had been blooming for a while already. Sounds normal to me. I don't know about the other two. Good luck.
