Now why is it I am not surprise at your suggestion?

What about nasty smelling ones?
Ones that are as aromatic as rotting flesh or moldy shoe?

Thank you new member

I will look into it further!

Anyone else? with any suggestions!

I'm glad you are not my sister.
Bulbo echinolabium. I want one so badly, but my family won't survive in the same place with this orchid.

I agree with Shadow on Bulbo echinolabium...it's a beauty but
Phhheewww!

Gin, I have that one and it's never had any fragrance
Now, I'm happy about that because
Phhheewww!
is a no-no!

For interesting shapes a paph maudiae type will fill that requirement. People always look at slippers because of their exotic shape. Sometimes they even look carnivorous to people. Not fragrant though.

Also Paph insigne is a easy grower and will love the cool temps. Not fragrant either.

There are a few slippers that are lightly fragrant....

A phal hybrid with violacea or phal bellina will have fragrance. The hybrids should be easier to keep than the species

How cool is the apartment?
I keep my house quite cool in the winter at night and when no one is home.

Phrag besseae hybrids! I just felt like saying it not fragrant and conventionally pretty but still a slipper too
