Thanks, I'm loving it. The undulating curves in the shiny leaves, which I understand is characteristic of bellinas, adds a lot of charm. I'm still pretty much a newbie, but when I first saw a pic of a bellina in these forums, I knew it was one I had to have. Well maybe more than one soon; you know how that goes.
To answer the original question. There's no way to stake a Phal bellina without seriously risking breakage. The inflorescence is pendulous by nature. It is often seen with the flowers tucked underneath the leaves.

Ref the styro - that's exactly what I did to mine.
I've had to do it again as a new leaf was forming and squashing the spikes (as Philip mentions...it's natural)... but I'd like to see my flowers.... so here it is now with me gently teasing the spikes to grow over the new leaf.
