Ascocentrum curvifolium seedling... What do i do? Male
Default Ascocentrum curvifolium seedling... What do i do?

I bought a bunch seedlings at the Rhoad Island orchid show, real cheep. Everything is doing fine, untill i get to close that is. Getting ready to go to work this mornning, i needed to give the 'chids a mist. That is when i knocked the ascocentrum curvifolium off the shelf.... So she needs a repot. I think its two plants, or i made it two plants. What do i want to plant it in. Wanted to mount one, but was unsure of which way is up, leaves or roots. i also have a tiny basket like pot, should i use that? And if so, moss or bark? Oh and i just learned that an Ascocentrum curvifolium exists when i got it so if anyone has any tips for me i would appreciate it. Thanks.

Default

They grow upright, or the new leaves will tend to grow upwards if the plant isn't oriented in an upright position.

Use bark, seedling grade.

If they're about 1" tall, they should be grown in a compot (aka community pot).

Bright shade until they get larger.

Intermediate to warm.
