i have a cattelya caribbean that i want to get to flower. i have owned this plant for two year and no flowers. any body now how to get it to flower. i be shocked if could get to flower soon.

How are your growing conditions. When cattleyas don't flower it usually has to do with light.
And how larg eis the plant?

I am no expert but I will like to share my experience. When I frist brought the Mini Cattleya breed, I really treasure it so much,.... kept it under shed, afraid of sun burn and so on....as a normal beginer will do. Well it never flowered for a year and a half. After inquired around with some local orchid grower afew said this breed will never flowered in our hot climate.(Temp. avg 30c -35c).
As my collection started to increase... needed space, I dumped the Mini Cattleya out to the open where there were not protection from the sun and rain. I just could believe it when it flower after 2 months.
Fren, you are very right ...lights the biggest culprit.

Yes, good sun light and evening temperature drop should help. Sometimes catts don't bloom if the night temperature is the same as day temperature.

ah.okay, first of all it gets flitered light. i try to keep the temp between 65 - 80. with the nightly low of 67 at the lowest. the orchid show i bought it from told me that it had just finished flowering but that was 2 years ago and 3 moves ago. I have seen everything else flower expt this one. I stick it outside with cybium today

YUp I think thats a good choice to put it with the cymbidium

as long as i remember to bring the plants inside. The inside the house, the light is low engough for my moth orchids to flower all the time.it is still not getting warm enough to leave the plants outsuide all the time. besides it gets real warm here during the summer. so i have to bring house plants that i can take outside bring them in or just leave them in when i know the outside temp are above 90 or below 50. we had that real hard freeze, i heard about people who lost there outside orchids. but with summer coming i do not have to worry about low temp, it is the high ones i have to worry about.

Good Luck with this, I too have recently moved my Catt types to higher light area because I believe they were not getting enough. Hopefully that will make them bloom more. Let us know how yours turn out.
