I recently re-potted my oncidium sharry baby into 6" plastic pot with holes in the bottom using Primeagra(LECA)as the sole medium. I grow outdoors with bright shaded location with 50 to 60% humidity and 86F temperature.

They say, you can't over water using primeagra(LECA) does it mean I can water my sharry baby everyday?

If not, What is the best watering guide? every 2 or 3 days?

I water mine every day when it is actively growing so it should be fine for you.

I water mine twice a week. Wednesday I water with "water" and run it under the tap for a few minutes. On Sundays I "water" with weak fertilizer! Hope that helps!

Are you using LECA for your sharry baby? is that in s/h culture or regular culture using straight LECA? Thank you.

I use the hydroton from Ray's Website as part of S/H culture. My Sharry Baby went into S/H in January of 2010 and has already but up a new lead!!! She's loving it in S/h

Hi Katie,

I use primeagra but not in s/h culture. I use plostic pot with drainage on the bottom.

I'm sure that'll work well too. I've found that the sharry baby is super forgiving and can tolerate lots of different conditions!
