References for Beginners
I have four books on orchids, but as a beginner, recognize that I have a long way to go. Considering the four references that I already have listed below, what other references should I consider picking up for my library?
- Frownie, S. A. (2005). Orchids for Dummies.
- Kramer, J. (2006). 100 Orchids for Florida.
- Motes, M. (2008). Florida Orchid Growing: Month by Month.
- Hunt, P. F. (1979). The International Book of Orchids
Thanks,
Art

I like, and have seen other members mention they do as well, Orthos Complete Guide To Orchids. Need to watch tho as there is also a much less informative orchid book with the Ortho name on it - Ortho All About Orchids. I also like Botanicas Orchids - there isn't info about growing in cultivation, but has info on 1200 species I think, including hardiness zones

WhiteRabbit,
Thanks - I'll put the Complete Guide and Botanicas on my list.

Thanks,
I've got a "HD" about a half-mile from the house.

I'm with Donald. A great book no matter what level you think you are.
