Mounting and moss

I am mounting some of my orchids and have something called SuperMoss (preserved sheet moss) that I had bought from a craft store. Will this be safe for my orchids or should I stick to sphagnum? The reason I bought this was because of the nice loom to it - vibrant green sheets. Am gussing this is because of the preservative? I rinsed it with water and the water ran green - is this natural colour or dye? The product claims it is natural product

The Super Moss, may be dyed.

I'd just stick to the New Zealand Sphag. At least with this you know what you're dealing with.

I would guess it's died. There are natural dies but they may still be something that an orchid does not lile.

I'm not experienced with mounting but I think I would stick with Sphag.
