This is the first phal i got, a friend brought it for me as a gift at easter 09, i cut it's spike back before christmas and repotted it about 2 months ago.
But it still has no sign of a spike, my other phals have spiked this one just seems to be taking it's time.
It's possible that it'll still bloom this year. My Phal. (formerly Doritis) pulcherrimas seem to start blooming when it gets warmer and brighter, rather than initiating spikes with cooler weather like most Phals do. I don't see any spikes on them yet, but they are starting new root growth which usually precedes spikes. A lot of modern Phal hybrids have Doritis ancestry and genetic influence, they're the ones with the genus abbreviated Dtps. rather than Phal.
Season when your plant was blooming when you got it isn't necessarily a good indicator of when it will bloom again; commercial plants are often 'forced' by manipulation of bloom cues, application of hormones, etc. In any case your plant looks quite healthy, it probably just needs more time. Good luck!
If you know the name of it I'd be happy to look it up in OrchidWiz and see what's in the gene pool. As Nat pointed out there are many Phals that are actually summer bloomers. Some call them novelty Phals.
