I'm from RI... you can view some pictures of my Phal. B's Kaleidoscope.

I mainly purchased the two new Phals based on look, number of flowers, and price ($25 incl shipping for the two).

Thanks for the help!
Your temps are perfect. Exactly the same as mine. Your phals will thrive and blooom well
And the phal you have right now is gorgeous!

Your winter temps are not so cold for phals. I am not a big one on heating in the winter myself...haha, if you call what we have winter, but it does get cold to us Floridians...I keep my home set at 62 during the day 68 from 5-10 (oh, not to mention thick sweats ) my home is warm 5 hours out of a day. Have 5 phals blooming right now that have come through my "winters". I would not worry much about the winters, if you feel it is getting a bit colder than you would like it, most likely your phals are feeling the same, move them a few feet away from the glass pane "bay window" should do well for you.

I agree with these folks. I live in Northern Lower Michigan where temps routinely go below zero (as low as -25F) in the winter and keep house 62 night and 67 day. The key, though, is NEVER let your Phals go to bed at night with wet leaves and/or water in the crown. I use a small 12 volt computer fan blwing 24/7 just to provide the slight breeze that assures no wetness for any orchid.

Thanks!! I'm feeling a bit better about the purchase now It was a little bit of reactionary spending when I saw the low prices there (younger plants, I think). Anyone know about Oak Hill (I saw it recommended a couple of places).
