Default Repotting a Paph... have I potted it deep enough?

Ok, well I bought a pair of Paphs in December (two, each in a half pot, sold together). I've been meaning to repot ever since the flowers dropped in late Jan, and somehow I've not got round to it.

Then this morning I brushed one of them as I was watering other chids and it just fell out the pot and I realised it had hardly any roots. Tonight when I sat down to repot I emptied the media and found it was really really broken down and horrid.

Anyway I've repotted both of them in 7cm (2 3/4") pots (the second one has better roots but still not good.) and I know that in the past someone commented I had potted my other paphs too high in the pot. So I want to check if I have put them deep enough this time (or are they now too deep) .

Look ok to me too.
I would also give them some K-L-N so as to promote more root growth & I would also watch the first one as your potting mix is a bit 'higher up' which I don't think is a problem as long as dries fairly quickly.. in that does not provoke rot.. Well done! keep us posted!

Thanks Nenella.

I think it should dry quite quickly as everything I have in this size pot and grade of medium seems to dry very quickly.
