Fungal Problems!

It looks cooked to me ,wonder what thier drying process is ? I would also treat with a fungacide . Keep out of direct sun .
I would contact the seller that does not look like recent damage were that way when they shipped I have recieved a lot of plants in the mail the only way I can get them, and not recieved any in that condition . By the way who was the seller to them . Gin

I didn't think the damage looked recent or from shipping either, but I am new to growing orchids so what do I know...that is why I posted on here I will wait and see what the sellers response is before I post their company name which would slaughter them. I sent pictures to the seller with the email I sent to them, I just don't think I want to mess with having to send plants back since I took them out of their packaging already.

E-Bay orchids are hit or miss. The shipping process will shock the plants. Especially if they are in spike. A sick plant will take it especially hard. I lose a lot of leaves before the orchids put out new roots. That seems to be the determining factor as far as I can see. If it has viable roots, most problems become minor. But, if the orchid must struggle to breathe or feed or get water, these small problems can be worsened.
If the vendor does not do right by you, by all means let the rest of us know. That's called doing the right thing. Vendors know it too. That's why they use feedback.

My initial reaction was overheating or freezing, along with Gin, but I think it may be a combination of plants in poor condition before shipping, probably being damp when shipped, treated to inhospitable temperatures en route, and having a mold or fungus take advantage of the situation.

Just an update, the seller, after about a week, finally replied back to me and he is sending replacements for both of the plants that arrived in bad shape. Those plants are still not doing so well, but who knows maybe they will make it. Hopefully the replacement plants will look better!
