Congrats! That line is something I always say to myself when I'm looking over my 'chids "Well, I must be doing something right!"

I know, right? I still don't have the confidence of a seasoned grower by any means.

@kasper: awesome, because I just got some 3" pots in from orchidnuts on ebay that should be perfect.

The only thing I'm worried about is that the fine bark mix I have is just stuff from the grocery store. It's 'triple processed' or whatever, but I think I'll have to soak it for a few days before it will hold water well.

Is that cause to worry, or should it be fine?

No need to worry Izzie. Twinkle grows fast but not that fast. 3-5 days should be fine.

no, I mean should I worry that the bark takes that long to get saturated the first time.

I lost half my Twinkle to CHC and repotted in BOS mix. It went nuts. Not sure the stuff I buy at Broward Orchid Supply is using a standard name on their mix, but it consists of fired clay pellets, Sponge Rock, Coconut Chips & Charcoal. I also have it in a terracotta orchid pot.

It looks pink, but that was from over fertilizing and after a flushing, they turned white like they are s`posed to be, Notice the space between the plant and pot as these are fast growers and need room
