If this is a noticeable spurt of new growth, clearly out of character relative to your other phals, then it sounds like this massive temperature change experience shocked it somehow.... in a good way! Very interesting. Where was it in the flowering cycle?

Hard to really recall at this point. It must have been after the flowering was complete and I was waiting to see if it would re loom from the same spike. I've got these two long gangly looking roots coming out of the keiki now. I'll see if I can snap a pic tomorrow.

Wow, really nice looking roots there!

My healthiest phal is starting to do the same. It has two roots off the side of the crown starting to wander outward. I'm looking forward to seeing how long they get.
