You might try raising up the plants in the back row. You could use upside down plastic containers or something of that nature. And yes, the catts in the front.

Also realize that putting the plant to the left, center, or right of the window will make a difference. For instance, to the left, they'll get the late day sun. To the right, they'll get the early light. And in the center, the best of the window.

Yes!! the Catts sure like where they are, there looking really good and I am getting a lot of new growth, they all seem to get a little late sun, but that will change though as the days get longer, I got plenty of pots to use as stands.

Perhaps you could do something like described in this article from the board: Suction Cup Shower Utility Baskets?! The new convenient orchid mount! (2010 Contest) - Orchid Board
Would free up some space for you, and give the catts or other orchids as much light as possible.

They can get a little "pricey" but well worth it. Give it a shot. Here's where I got mine. Waldor Orchids

Still wondering if this might help you.
I'm going to be doing the same thing- but with wire caddies that I'll just set plastic pots in.
Doing the first couple weeks with just sandbags in them to make sure they won't fall.
