Default blooming?

Ok, so I have a question about the cycles that orchids bloom on. I know that depending on the type of orchid, it will bloom for different amounts of times and in different seasons, and that some bloom more than once a year while others dont. My question is, how do nurseries always have Phals that are in bloom at any time of year? Is it the way that they keep them in certain lighting and temperature conditions? I know that an orchid is signallyed to bloom by different amounts of light and lengths of daylight and temperature etc.

I've only had my two phals for about a year, and bought both when they were in bloom, but when I read what season a phal is supposed to bloom in, that is different than when mine were in bloom. If both of mine were in bloom in late spring early summer last year, should I expect that again?

Large commercial growers have specialized greenhouses so they can "force" the orchids to bloom. Yours should bloom during the normal season. I'm in south Florida and mine are sending spikes up now.
