Hi all,
I have a question. I have a baby Dendrobium orchid nobile (Emma white). I bought it a few years ago (mail order). Right now it is potted in a small pot (about 1.5 inches diameter, 4 inches tall). Here is my regimen:
1)Water once a week
2)Fertilize at 1/4 strength every week with high nitrogen feed
3)Skip fertilizing every 4th week, to flush it out
4)Sitting on the windowsill, facing southwest.
5)When it gets warm outside, I put it on the balcony which also faces southwest
Growing nice roots, but the plant/canes itself are very small. The tallest cane is only about 5 inches tall. I dont expect flowering right now, but I would have expected that the plant be bigger at the very least. I know there is something I am doing wrong but can't figure it out.
Can someone give me some tips/guidelines on how to care for baby nobiles until they reach flowering size? I find alot of info on the net about caring for mature nobile plants but none for babies
Thanks
