Possible Crown Rot. Help.

I had the same experience with crown rot, and it grew a basel keiki just like the others said.
I've since learned to plant my phals on a slight angle and I also use the paper towel method so that water doesn't collect in the crown.
Don't get rid of the plant, have patience.
