Phalaenopsis has MANY dead/rotted roots; chance of survival? Female

I am using (Please dont kill me) Rose Clear. It apparently kills bugs and conrols fungus. The garden centre recommended it after 20 minutes of phone calls trying to find an answer to my question. I have not seen any negative effects in my orchids and the fungus has been illiminated from the 4 ikea orchids i bought (wont be doing that again)

Now all I have to deal with is the move to Semi Hydro and general loss of roots.

Default Phalaenopsis Progress

Hi everyone! Well, I would like to show you the progress of my Phalaenopsis and ask for any suggestions, get your thoughts, tips, advice, all feedback welcome and appreciated.

So I've repotted my orchid to a smaller (in circumfrence) pot that is well-drained and tall (to accommodate the roots being at the bottom tip of the stem).

As you can see, I've made sure that there is more bark than moss this time. I've also put the styrofoam "peanuts" at the bottom (which I covered with medium before potting the orchid, of course).

The leaves seem stiffer, and the spike dried so I ended up removing it entirely. I wish I had seen this link you posted earlier, Izzie (thank you for that), so that I could have done the peroxide treatment or the cinnamon/ alcohol mix on the roots. I can't water the plant with any of those, right (because of the medium)?

Anyhow, I had the bag over it till today, I felt it needed some air, did I do the right thing?

Please give me all your thoughts, ideas, tips, advice, concerns, anything I welcome and appreciate from you all.

Triffie, I hope your orchid gets better too, it really is hard to see your orchid suffer like that, and nothing wold mean more than for my orchid to bounce back to health, so I wish you the same.

Thank you all so much for your time and kindness!
