Growing Node?
Default Growing Node?

Hi there,

I cut the spikes back on one of my orchids some time ago and i've just looked at one of it's nodes and it seems like it's growing, this would be great for me.

Here is an original pic of the orchid

And here is a pic of the node, would you say it's growing?

Yes, I would. Usually the node swells slightly and the new shoot bursts out. The sheath over the node opens like the one in your picture.

Won't be long until you are greeted with a new set of blooms!

Cool, it's growing well. Keep us updated. I think you should get at least four flowers as it stands, but it could keep going further.

Here are some more updated pics from my other phal spike.

Thought i'd just let the spike grow were it wanted, i think this will arch over and look nice.
