Yet an other Miltassia repotting question Female
Default Yet an other Miltassia repotting question

I purchased a Miltassia Royal Robe Jerry's Pick a while back; the flowers are now starting to fall off so I plan to repot. It is very tightly potted and almost looks like it is going to burst the plastic pot It has gorgeous flowers and a fragrance that I really can't describe--not sweet but pleasant. Anyway, here's my question: there are a lot of roots growing above the pot straight out in the air from the plant as shown in the picure. Actually there are more roots now as I took the picture when I got the chid. Should I repot with these roots above the medium or should I try to plant them in the medium I have been misting the roots daily and they look good, but I don't know if I should try to cover them with planting medium. Any advice is greatly appreciated

Your roots look nice. When you repot, the roots should be in the potting media.

if any don't want to go into the pot, that's fine too.
