how to remove fertilizer buildup

I have only been using worm compost tea for fertilizer on my Haraella odorata's for over 2 years now, and then I only fertilize maybe once every 4 - 6 months when I think of it. I now also have a Laellia sincorana growing in hydroton. Im not too worried about the Haraella's, but how do I flush out the Laellia ? The Hydroton floats if submerged, Plus while Im asking how do you remove fertilizer salt buildup from wood mounts ? I probably should be occasionally using more than the compost tea, but am concerend on how to remove salt buildup.

I just flush the s/h pots frequently (2-4x a month) to remove salts. On the mounts, I just use plain water and spray the roots and mount throughly 2-4x a month.

Maybe Im overthinking it, I have problems with my Bonsai with fertilizer / salt buildup along with hardwater buildup. I use distilled water for my orchids, maybe the buildup wont be as bad as im thinking.

I use 1/2 rain water, 1/2 tap. We have really hard water. I've not had a problem since I started flushing more often.
