Advice on care of Laelia Sincorana
Hello everyone,
it's been a while since my last post, I have been succesfully growing a little group of Haraella Oderata for a few years now. They are in a terrium and are almost always in bloom.
But now it's time for a 180 degree change in this hobby, I purchased a Laelia Sincorana from Andy's orchids on a stick, Recieved a very healthy plant on a huge stick ( A little log LOL) I removed it and have it planted up in pure Hydroton. Now for the questions, and yes I have spent a day googling for more info on this little Orchid. I have a (Michigan) south window I would like to place it. I can kinda control how long of direct light it gets by moving it all the way to the west end of the shelf in front of the window. if I do that it will get morning sun thru 2:00 pm and then shade the rest of the day. Or would it like to be in the middle of the shelf and recieve full sun all day ? Andy's website says it likes bright light, I have read it lives in full sun in it's native country, only gets moisture from the morning dew. With that being said, how often do I water ? It's in pure Hydroton. Do I mist daily and water good weekly ? All advice on this plant would be greatly appreciated !
Thanks,
Dan
