Default Repotting a cymbidium

Hello,
I was hoping someone could give me any information on how to repot my cymbidium. It looks to me like it needs it. I have attached some pics. thanks.

Although Brian's demo is basically OK, much is done for expediency and for showmanship. Most Cyms DO NOT need to be divided with an ax or a machete. Doing it that way gives you little or no control over the size of the divisions.

I prefer a more studied/gentle approach with a sterile serrated knife so that my divisions will all come out to from 3-5 bulbs. I have seen Brian in action and he ends up with a lot of single bulbs which will take "forever" to produce a plant large enough to produce flowers. Remember Cymbidiums have pseudobulbs, not true bulbs like a daffodil.

I didn't check the video, but I would suggest not dividing it at all. Give it a good soak to soften up the roots and soil. Carefully remove what old media that you can. Pot it up in a slightly larger container with a well draining, moisture retentive medium. I like CHC for Cymbidiums.
