Need Help with Footcandles for Vandas??

I am getting different advise on how many foot-candles is best for Vandas. One source recommends 2500 to 4000, while another valued source 5000 to 7000. I am getting ready to change the screens on my Lanai from 80% which works for Cats. but blocks out too much sun for Vandas.
I would welcome any suggestions on foot-candles, % screen blockage and source for screen material. I am now recording 10500 fc at noon with out screens. I would guess that will go up some by summer.

I thought 2500 - 4000 was about right. I just started with Vanda's though, so I'm interested to hear some other answers.
