If a plant
needs repotting; i.e. it is rotting or has something wrong with it, repotting should be done immediately. Otherwise, regular repotting is best done either in the spring or fall, preferably in the spring, just as the plants are starting to grow actively. Repotting should not be done in the heat of the summer or the dead of winter unless it is absolutely necessary.
