Hi guys!

Just thought I'd show you my collection of Phal's.. what do you think?

None of them are collectors items but I love them just the same

Sitting on my East facing window overlooking the river

This purple one is the first orchid I have got to re-bloom. I cut the two spikes back but it threw out a third at the same time. So now there are 3 spikes blooming (16 blooms!). It hadn't flowered for a while but went wild when I started using an orchid-specific fertiliser.

These two are brand new. Valentines Day gifts

This is my first miniature Phal.

The one on the far left was rescued from a dumpster in a dire situation. I started a thread on here about that. Once re-potted, it threw out a spike but I broke it off by accident!!! Just as I was about to find out what colour it was it keeps me guessing!

What a shame you broke the spike of the one you found in a dumpster. Great going to get it back to health though.

Your flowers look wonderful!

Ah.. it's a relief I'm not the only one. I must be an 'orchiholic' because I felt very guilty after the spike snapped when I was trying to train it.

When rescued, I did trim the roots quite a bit. It has been vigorously growing new roots and leaves instead of flowers. So in this case, I don't mind because it is probably better for the plant in hindsight!

Thanks for everyone's comments. I love sharing my orchid pictures!!
