Talking First bloomed orchid !!!

Hi all,

Yesterday we came home to our first true success in orchids. We had a Tolumnia respiking before, we bought Phals in bloom already, but this is the first orchid that has bloomed for us, from scratch.
I have no clue what species it is, it was given to us among other orchids, mostly sun burned and/or sick. None had names, but I assume this one must be a Cattleya.
If anybody has an idea in regards to identification, please help. If not, I'll try to post it in the Identification section.

Thanks.

Hi,

Your plant is in the Cattleya family and most certainly has Brassavola nodosa in its background but other than that, it can't be identified.

Sorry.

Carl

Thanks for your replies.
At least everybody seems to agree it's in the Cattleya group.
And i thought blooming would help identifying it.

Thanks again everybody.
