PS it started to open the buds from beneath, so the lowest buds first. Don't know if this is normal for this Dendrobium, but that could explain why your plant doesn't show the pinkish blush anymore in the lower parts of the canes? Just a guess...

Watch it's behavior next year I would say

btw, my plant can take huge amounts of sun and heat in the summer. I had it in front of the South faced window, almost glued to the glass in July, with full sun, without the leafs damaged. As you can read on the Yamamoto website, they need a cooler period to induce blooming. I'm still figuring out how much, how long... I read from some German growers that they rebloom this plant in the windowsill, I guess in an unheated room with an open window during the night.
Mine 'only' had 15 blooms this year, it should be much more. I had it outdoors during the end of the summer but had to take it indoors when the new canes were not fully matured (which I didn't know by then). I reduced watering strongly when it became colder and it started to shed some leafs. Then Jerry advised me to keep it watered even with cooler weather (I think temp drop until 10-14 C is enough). Surprisingly I didn't get keiki's, despite the watering, but I also only got 5 x 3 blooms. Have to experiment how to get more blooms on it. Maybe more light during the end of the summer and during the cool down period, which means I have to grow it in an unheated room with cracked window, if the weather allows it. I can't do that when it freezes... Or maybe I should have left it longer outdoors in the cold... (were it gets less light than indoors during that time of the year). So still debating and getting to know that plant.
Might come back to you with info if I find something new on other forums :-)
