Cattleya Pot. Burana Beauty 'Burana' help
I got this pretty little plant today and was wondering what I need to do to get it to flower this spring. Or will I have to wait a couple of years like everyone else!!
Also can I re-pot it since there are no flowers.

I could be wrong, but it doesn't look like a blooming sized plant to me. Maybe in a year or two it will be.
It has no remnants of sheaths from past blooms that I can see.
If that's the case, I don't see why you couldn't repot it if it needs it.

I myself like to see new roots emerging if I am repotting ....from what I have read bifoliates dont like being repotted if they are not growing new roots and will sometimes die from it.It looks like its a bifoliate to me IDK but I would wait if it was me

It really depends on the condition of the medium and is it similar to what you have others potted in?

I was looking this one up in orchid wiz and it has several spiecies in its background that are bifoliates ....and when I read up on bifoliates the culture sheets say that disturbing when not in active growth is not advised as they will sometimes go into a "sulk" and will not recover and will slowly die
I think I would leave it alone untill I saw new growth of roots but thats just me being overcautios perhaps.
Unless it has a major problem why repot?

I don't think it's being over cautious. I think it's good thinking.
If you know a certain thing about your plant, you run with it.
Many different plants have many different quirks. It's up to you as a grower to know what they are and adjust accordingly.

I wouldn't do all moss for bifoliate Catts. The roots could rot out pretty easily.
In this situation, if it truly is grown in all moss, I would repot immediately.
Bifoliate Catts have a very difficult time recovering from damaged roots.

I decided to gently remove the pot to check to the bottom and besides a few packing peanuts at the bottom, it is in just moss, I replaced the pot carefully waiting for your reccommendations. If I do re-pot,
1) same pot size?
2) orchid pot with side holes or regular pot
3) potting media?
I have:
a) a mix from WillGro, General mix containing medium fir bark, coarse perlite, charcoal and chunky peat
b) charcoal
c) fir bark
d) Orchid Block, premium coir
e) moss
