I bought a dendrobium about 6 months ago at Walmart and it looked good. It had a bloom which has now died and I removed the spike. The plant just stayed the same and I've been treating it the same as my phals. Now I notice that the tip of each leaf is turning yellow. It's planted in bark and sits on a table in my dining room which is south facing. The plants get bright light and maybe an hour of sun if it's out. I water once a week thoroughly. I'm in Canada so right now it's cold and not sunny very often.
Any help on what is causing the yellowing or any other care tips for this plant would be appreciated.
it is normal for dens to lose leaves after blooming...not to worry, just leave the stems as they supply energy to the plant, and will sprout new growths which will, in turn, flower....
