Whether you realize it or not, you are learning about phals. Don't give up. You are acquiring knowledge about orchids. Carol

Thanks Carol! I'm a quilting wacko too!

I can vouch for that. If it weren't for the net and finding a site like this I would have probably killed mine already.
So far my kill count is 0 out of 5, with one being a rescued plant.

I hope to keep it that way, and hopefully have my plants die when they should and not before.... Yeas I know the probability of that happening is not good to say the least

But like the wise people before me said, "It's a learning experience" and well most people learn from their mistakes and even the mistakes of others.

Triffid, it's just a matter of time before you kill some. I stayed at zero for a long time, then had three go at the same time (and a fourth has been clinging on).

I agree with you though about the net and this site being a huge help to avoid it. I only stayed at zero for so long because this site helped save my very first one.

I read a few orchid books from the library and looked at a lot of info on line before I got my phals....but you are right about this site. There is nothing like talking to people with experience! You all have been a huge help!

(With fingers crossed behind my back....) Uhhhh....none. Okay....a few. More than I care to admit! For all the same reasons listed above.....except one. I actually knocked one off on purpose. I feel guilty to this day....

Except for rescues that were too far gone that I bought out of pity to give a dignified end...none!
Which astonishes me, since I have only two measly years or so experience.
Watch, now I've jinxed myself.

Yes, she can even throw them across the room, down a flight of stairs and not even loose a leaf!

Crazy plant karma!
