The ghost orchid of Corkscrew Swamp made famous in D.K.Christi's novel, GHOST ORCHID, has surprised us all by its blooming March 26, 2010! It's in its place, high in the cypress canopy, watching the gazers below. I can't help but think it's smiling at its cleverness to bloom so early and compete with the British ghost orchid thought extinct but recently showing itself in wooded areas. Not to let the Brits get all the glory, our very own ghost is spinning its magic while the readers of GHOST ORCHID walk the boardwalk and experience the characters' emotions on their mysterious quest.
