Cracked Psuedobulbs on Catt.
I have a Catt. with cracks in the p-bulbs. Could this be from underwatering?

Yeah, or maybe the roots are rotted and it can't take up the water it needs.

No, the roots are good. Just wondering if I did something wrong. The plant seems to be in great health.

I have had cracks occur when my plants were outside during really wet weather. It uaually happened when it was raining almost nonstop for a couple of weeks. It seemed like the plants were trying to take up more water then their pseudobulbs could hold.

It dosn't appear to be from shrinking. Like I said, I was just curious since I havn't seen it happen before. I was told could be from over fertilizing or underwatering. Maybe they got too fat...makes sense.

My Laelia superbiens just recently did the same thing as described by trdyl.
And yes, it had been raining hard for a week straight.
So I think this has merit.
