We have frogs in our garden and at night they climb on the windows and catch insects that are attracted to the light.
They like my GH's for some reason, and I believe they have helped getting rid of my thrip problem I had when the GHs were inside.
On the bad side though is I don't like to spray any chemicals or insecticides because it could affect the frogs- ie poision even kill them..
The other sad thing is sometimes they get inside and if they go behind furniture, get covered in dust/hair and then you find them dried up like mummies.

The most crazy thing I do happens regularly. I always do repotting at night and my poor family suffers. But it is the only time I'm free enough to do it. I feel so guilty....

Ok that's not too crazy- I mean it's not like you took them on the plane and kept them in your room at a holiday resort, or took them on a trip to Disneyland
Besides, mounts do need more attention to water than things that are potted right? .

In order to escape that "OMG, are you crazy" conversation for a few days I hooked several of the plants I had bought to the inside of my panty hose under my skirt. I kid you not...it was the absolute weirdest orchid thing I have ever done..but hey, it worked! He did not notice a damn thing! Well at least not till a few days later lol.

that really is crazy! You should have just left them at a friends house and then picked them up and brought them home later when your DH wasn't home
Also once your collection has reached its 'critical mass' you smuggle orchids a few at time into the collection and your DH or SO won't even notice

Yeah, I had a feeling it was a tad bit out there but you know sometimes you have to be able to go the distance
I blame my mother for my actions. She's always been a shopaholic (QVC) and such. When she gets to many boxes during the week in the mail, she just hides them in the trunk till she can sneak them inside.
All I can say is thank god there is no orchid shopping channel! I would be ruined lol

Hehe, don't we always blame our moms! I blame my grandma, she's the one that exposed me to all the plants that tropical Colombia could offer.

Actully the only thing I have done that some people might think is crazy is brave poisonous snakes, alligators, sawgrass and catclaw vine just to see a wild orchid.
