It's a Phalaenopsis hybrid. No way of figuring out what hybrid, but that doesn't matter - it's very beautiful. If you have questions about culture you can find all sorts of information on this site.
I am preparing a project with a terrarium and a tarantula and that's why I wanted the mini orchid, since the terrarium won't be huge.
I will add also a waterfall inside and I was thinking that it would be nicer if I mount the orchid upside down or at least at an angle of 90° but I don't know if I have to water every day (despite the humidity from the waterfall).
Btw, I have searched for phalaenopsis mini orchid care from google (for this board) and I couldn't find any thread(s). I found only a thread that the scientific name of the orchids is different from Phalaenopsis.
??
If it is in a terrarium with high humidity then I would guess you would not have to water every day. I have a couple of Phals bare root just now in a high humidity enviroment (I've not actually measured how high) and the roots stay green for 2-3 days. I water when they start going silvery again.
If it requires the same care with the common Phalaenopsis then it is fine, I know the basics.
After the set up of the terrarium I will measure for a couple of days the humidity inside the terrarium and then I will decide if I will leave the mini orchid with the pot or if I will mount it. I will do my best to go for mounting since it would be nice and natural.
Thanks also for the tip with the silver color of the roots.
