That may be a question better answered by the people on this forum from the colder parts of the northern hemisphere who are forced to grow these plants indoors. I suspect they probably will grow OK indoors if you give them enough light. The indoor growers on this and other forums seem to be able to keep kingianum alive. They can struggle to get them to flower but you've probably got a couple of years before either plant would think about flowering so that may not be a priority for you.
