Default rescued orchids need help

I recently found two orchids being discarded at our local yacht club. The stalks were empty, the leaves, of the phaleonopsis type, were nice and dark green, so I took them home. I found that they had been potted in a bark and dirt combination but were so tightly packed the roots were pretty much dead, so I cut them back and repotted with a combination of moss and bark. One of them now has a keiki growing on an old stem, the other has developed a new leaf, so I'm hoping I've done them some good so far. My quetion is, should I be fertilizing them at all, or just let them be for awhile.

Yes, feed them. Active growth of any type demands it.

thanks for the answers. should I let the keiki go for awhile? I read somewhere that this is the plant telling me it thinks it's dying and trying to replenish itself
