Re-pot Cattleya Werneri? Female
Default Re-pot Cattleya Werneri?

This is one of 30 or so Cattleya Werneri I got in flask. They are all growing like crazy! They were potted about a year ago. Is it time to repot again and if so should i put the arial roots down into the bark??
Thanks for your help.

Not a Cattleya expert but I'd leave it for now. The pot looks like a 10 cm ~ 12 cm pot which should do just fine til spring. As for the roots, sure if you can soak them for 10 to 15 minutes to soften them so, hopefully, they won't break when you try to bend them into the pot. Also, some people like to soak bare roots in Hormex, KLN, SuperThrive or Essential Plus before repotting to help reduce the transplant shock. But I'd wait until there is new growth in the spring.
