Be carefull with the moss... If this was my plant, also not knowing any specific about it... I would keep the moss barely damp... like cotton ready to iron. I achieve this by squeezing it with my hands, as much water drained as possible... and then squeeze it again with a paper tissue in my hand. That takes even more water out of it. I think that is about the moister it will like in your/mine conditions. If this moss is compact, you could fluf it up a bit without damaging the roots (that way it's more airy) and dries out more evenly if it hasn't a good root system. It only needs the amount of moss that holds the plant firmly in the pot (without wigling)...
I learned to water plants in Sphag from below, it helps to prevent compacting the moss again.

Have a few Prostechea young plants too, and I'm new to them as you are... so take my advise for what it's worth :-) I water mine, let them get almost dry (but mine are growing new roots from new growths at this moment) and water again. If I'm in doubt to water or not, I wait 1 or 2 days. It won't harm them as much as too much water.
