I bought this dendrobium (I'm pretty sure it's a phal type, never saw the flowers) 2 years ago clearance in pretty poor shape. By last winter it was looking much better, new leaves, seemed pretty happy. Unfortunately last summer I was a klutz around it several times such as having it get shut in a sliding glass door which took out several leaves and rather bent it, then it was put too close to a barbeque. Looking bad but amazingly tough, lucky for me. Anyway, I notice there is something growing by one of the leaves. What is it? My guess is it's a keiki? Reading tells me to let it grow until the keiki gets roots that are long enough so it can grow on it's own? I honestly can't believe it's a flower stalk after this summer
Thanks for your help!
