So i brought home a Dracula Vlad Tepes the other day and all was going fine till i noticed this morning that mold was growing on the moss in the top of the planter and the sides (he's in a mesh basket) so im not sure what to do sine ive never cared of a plant that needed so much humidity. he lives near our humidifier to keep up his need for 70% to 90% humidity. but im just not sure how to get rid of the mold and how then to prevent it from coming back
One thing to keep in mind is that the higher the humidity, the more air flow plants need. Moist stagnant air is perfect conditions for molds to grow. They love it. Usually increasing air flow will prevent the problem, and I think it can kill off existing molds. I don't know if you have to treat the plant or not.

Mold is a wide description and unless you are very confident of your diagnosis it may be something else.
The two types of mold you may find in orchids are the black mildew that grows on the sides of pots and sometimes on the top. The second is a white mold in the potting medium often called snow mold.
The black is relatively harmless and nothing needs to be done. If you do not like the look on the pot a rag with household cleaner can remove it.
White snow mold is a sign of potting medium breaking down and the plant should be removed and re-potted. Clean all the mold off the roots before re-potting.
There are other possibilities but these are the most common.
judging by the picture in your other post, you have the "snow mold" that jerry mentioned, so you should re-pot.
please do not post the same question multiple times, it makes it more difficult for others to find the answers they need when searching through the posts. It also makes it more difficult for others to answer your questions, since each thread may not have all of the information.
